Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for the WIO-COMPAS Programme are unique for each level of certification. All levels are based on years of experience working in MPAs, language ability and academic achievement. Certification at a lower level can substitute for academic achievement if necessary.

Minimum Entry Requirements for Each Level of Certification

Level 1

• At least 2 years of experience in practical MPA operations
• Written proficiency in language of course instruction (country specific)
• Completed primary level education

Level 2

• At least 3 years of experience as a level 2 MPA management professional in that position
• Written proficiency in language of course instruction
• Graduated from Secondary Level Education and/or Level 1 certified

Level 3

• At least 5 years of experience as a level 3 MPA management professional
• Written proficiency in official language
• Graduated with at least a Bachelor’s Degree or a Masters and/or Level 2 certified
